Battery Metals

Diverse Metals For A Sustainable Energy Transition

Eskay Mining is a gold–silver explorer with important levels of Copper, Nickel, Lead, Cobalt and Zinc. These additional minerals attractiveness to the expanding technology age significantly increases Eskay Mining’s value.  Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers demand for nickel is expanding exponentially as world-wide mandates phase out gasoline-powered cars.

In anticipation of this transition, Eskay Mining made a strategic acquisition of 19.5% of neighboring Garibaldi Resources in 2021. www.garibaldiresourcescorp.com    Garibaldi made B.C. exploration history with the discovery of the first magmatic nickel finds featuring nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum, palladium, gold and silver.   The Nickel Mountain Discovery features some of the highest Nickel grades recorded.  In addition to Eskay’s 130,000-acre landholdings, Garibaldi has 27,400 acres directly west of Barrick’s old Eskay Creek / Skeena Resources.  The Northwest section of Eskay Mining’s land borders Garibaldi Resources.  Eskay through ground exploration and assay recordings, shows a multi-kilometer nickel trend toward Nickel Mountain.   A co-operative partnership is a natural fit for Eskay and Garibaldi in pursuit of Nickel exploration.  Half the nickel in the world currently comes from the Philippines and Indonesia.   North America needs more Nickel exploration and Canada is a friendly eager jurisdiction for exploration.

At the southern end of Eskay’s property there are two potential important deposits for battery metals; Red Lightning & Big Red.  Drill results and ground exploration have produced significant results of Copper, Nickel, Cobalt, Platinum, Palladium, Gold and Silver.   Red Lightning & Big Red are very close in proximity to Newmont’s Brucejack mine (Newcrest/Newmont purchased Pretium/Brucejack for $2.8B in 2022) and is directly adjacent to Seabridge Gold (Ranked among the world’s top 10 companies in gold reserves and 19.6 billion pounds of proven copper reserves).   Eskay Mining’s Northwest property is directly adjacent to Barrick Gold’s Eskay Creek Mine (now Skeena Resources) that was the largest gold mine in the world from 1994-2008 producing 3.3 million ounces of Gold and 160 million ounces of Silver.  Eskay Mining’s drill sites next door to Barrick’s old mine focus on gold/silver but also highlight levels of important Battery Metals.
